When queue times lie

April 24th, 2008

“Yeah, I know what Blizzard said. They improved the wait times. They even ran a survey asking how it’s all going. Well, for the most part it’s been pretty good. There are some occasions, however, when queue times lie. It’s happened to us post Patch 2.4, where the queue times say that we’ll have a match in less than a minute… then one minute passes and nothing comes up. Then another minute goes by. And another. Before we know it, the minutes have all rolled over into one huge bundle of minutes and we still haven’t gotten a match. Why does this happen. We’re not entirely sure. I figure it’s probably because there are no teams close to our bracket, but when that happens we usually get an estimated wait time of ‘Unavailable’. That’s when I know our night is going to be bad and filled with dueling outside of Orgrimmar in between queues. Because of the new matching system, which Drysc said they continually improve, teams are better matched than before. buy cheap wow gold For some, this means longer wait times, although it also looks like they’ve allowed more concurrent matches for lower brackets. For 2v2, in particular, the most populated bracket, the wait times used to be excruciatingly long. This has changed drastically, which is a good thing. eq2 platinum Matches are almost always instantaneous. Almost. Sometimes, the estimated queue times are still way off. The problem with lying queue times is that it doesn’t allow you to do anything in between. wowgold It’s almost like waiting for the school bus while wanting to hit the loo. You don’t want to go because you’re thinking the bus will be arriving shortly. You wait and you wait until you finally decide you have time to do No.2, and when you’re finally settled on that seat, the school bus honks its horn with your pants down.

wow gold cheap That’s kind of how erroneous estimates are. It doesn’t leave you free to do much. So, while I appreciate Blizzard’s efforts at making our Arena queues better, I’m still WTB accurate estimates. ” “You guys already know how I feel about Paladins, but if all Pallys looked this badass, I might have to change my opinion. wow powerlevel This is Graccus, the anti-hero Paladin featured in the latest TCG wallpaper released officially by Blizzard. See, most Paladins are just shiny golden boys, wandering around the land trying to do good and “”win for the Light”" or whatever. RELATED LINKS:http://jeweledup.com/emily4455/

Last week on Massively: WoW-related stories

April 24th, 2008

“This week’s round up of WoW-related posts on our sister site Massively covers many different angles of the MMO universe dominated by World of Warcraft. You can click on the links below or subscribe to a special WoW-only Massively feed. Player vs. Everything: I look hot in leather Well, not me personally (I think), but my my World of Warcraft Shaman sure looks hot in leather. By hot, I mean ridiculously badass and uber. It’s not just fun to run around looking like a Tauren Rogue– it’s also functional. You see, I play an Enhancement Shaman. We’re the much-maligned, often mocked branch of the Shaman class (especially for PvP where we get kited around or pounded down with ease). Still, I persevere because it’s fun to dual-wield while shocking and because I like being a support class. It’s nice to be able to toss some heals out sometimes, boost my whole group’s DPS, resurrect people after wipes, and still be 4th or 5th on the damage charts. So, if I love my Shaman so much, why am I wearing lots of leather when my class calls for mail. Simple. My primary role in a raid as an Enhancement Shaman is still pumping out damage. Take a look at the Shaman section of MaxDPS.com, a site that calculates the highest DPS items for a number of classes. If you glance through those lists, you’ll notice something interesting: The best possible items in the game for Enhancement Shamans are leather items in more than 60% of the armor slots. Weird, huh. wow geld It’s like that at every tier to some extent. Unfortunately, those leather items are also the best possible items for Rogues, Feral Druids, and Fury Warriors (in some slots). As you can imagine, this leads to some frustration and drama as everyone scrambles for the same loot (you’ll notice that almost everyone shooting down the Shaman in the first thread is a Rogue).

lord of the rings online gold Still, the numbers are there. While Shamans have options, leather is often the best thing they can be wearing. What’s the deal. sell wow gold Why isn’t there more appropriately itemized gear for Enhancement Shamans (and should they get to roll on leather to make up for it). Read more here:”This approach to filling your raids is something that Blizzard wouldn’t smile on at all, but that we’ve seen happening in several guilds. There are two sides to this; firstly, solve the problem of getting skilled players, and secondly solve the matter of gear. wowgold It works something like this: random warlock leaves your guild for RL, abandoning a raid-ready character with bucketloads of epics. Instead of recruiting an undergeared or inexperienced replacement, you find someone you know will be a decent player in their shoes — say the top warlock from your server’s other faction. Then you boldly break the TOS and risk getting that player banned. Alternatives include simply getting the cross-faction character to 70 and in basic gear (say a PvP set) then gearing it up as you would any lower-geared player, or even buying the character illegally. runescape money We don’t approve of this behaviour, not least because it’s made serious dents into our guild’s pool of decent players — of course, the argument that they wouldn’t have been tempted away by ready-made cross-faction characters if we’d been the right place for them holds some weight here.RELATED LINKS:http://blog.goo.ne.jp/teresa_2008/

“Pimp Alts

April 24th, 2008

“When it comes to niche roles and specs, such as elemental shamans or retribution paladins, you might not really have room for one on your main raiding roster but appreciate the value one can bring to certain fights. Alternatively, it might just be a matter of class balance; you’ve got loads of druid, paladin and shaman healers, then suddenly you find yourselves up against a fight that requires masses of Mass Dispel. Recruiting new players to fill these niches might not be the only answer, if you’ve got plenty of farm time and some good all-round players already in the guild. Role balance permitting, it’s easy enough to take one or two alts to somewhere like Black Temple if they’ve already been coming to tier 5 instances, aren’t stupid, and the token drops would rot otherwise. However, it’s very easy for good intentions to come across the wrong way; conveniently, officers might suddenly be the ones taking alts along and leaving members behind, and it can seem pretty greedy to the rest of the guild. A variation on this is simply to get your existing mains of the right class to pick up a good set of offspec gear, and be willing to respec as and when needed — or, according to your needs, you could do both. Just remember that if you need someone who’s only ever raided with one spec and role to suddenly respec and use that shiny set of offspec gear he’s been hoarding, he might not actually be any good; you can overcome this by giving him some raid experience on farm content with a different spec, but some people have little interest in doing this and only take offspec gear for soloing. You also might end up in a situation where, for example, you don’t have any spare healers — so your holy paladin can’t respec retribution — but one of your prot warriors, who’s not needed for the fight, has a ret alt. Performance is obviously a problem either way round, and it might be costly if the guild bank has to fund respecs, different consumables and so forth.

You’ll need to assess your situation carefully and look at future fight requirements, who your better players are, who has experience with multiple roles in raids and who’s going to have a clue about how to play, socket, enchant and buff their offspec or alt character. But if the tokens are rotting, and you don’t want to recruit in an unknown, it’s perfectly valid to just let your existing players have more flexibility ready for when you need it. ” “If you’re still running farm instances for those last few drops, and tokens are mostly going to offspec or rotting, a logical recruitment step is to find players who are good, but undergeared, and get them up to speed during farm runs. This works if you have knowledge of the players (word of mouth recommendations are very valuable) and if you don’t have a desperate need for them in your main raids just yet, but instead like to take on investment cases. Sometimes there’s simply no choice, based on your guild’s position, but to recruit and gear someone up. During the gearing process you can evaluate their skill and ability to learn quickly — it’s terrifying for them to be thrown in at the deep end, after all. Given the demand for certain tokens, it’s extremely easy for a recruit to walk away from a BT and Hyjal raid night with full or nearly-full tier 6, although shoring up the other holes in their gear might take longer. cheap wow gold The downside to this is that, when offered the chance to get decked out in epics and join one of the server’s “”big names”", people rarely say no; it’s hard to figure out if the player will even stick around once they have their tier gear, or simply sit in Ironforge inactive enjoying their guild tag. guild wars gold Finding the right players skill-wise is difficult too; someone might have been awesome in a heroic, but vastly inexperienced when it comes to raiding, and by the time you realise they’re no good they’ve already gotten tier 6. gold wow

Finally, if you’re really progression-minded and have been farming an instance for months, going back when there’s new content out can seem like a step in the wrong direction to some of the guild. With both speed-geared recruits and alts (see below), buy wow gold you’ll also run into a glass ceiling when it comes to gear. Healing and dps necks, rings, trinkets and weapons tend to be still sought-after by long-standing members; tank gear less so, as you generally take fewer tanks than healers or dps, but depending on your luck there’s probably still a few items your tanks want too. wow power leveling This bars the recruit from getting top gear in many slots; sure, it might get any pieces of healing mail that drop, if they drop, but with blue or Karazhan items in contested slots it won’t be on par with your other members. A keen recruit can farm badges and PvP to work on this, though. ” RELATED LINKS:http://fionla.buzznet.com/user/journal/

Ready Check: Raid Recruitment

April 24th, 2008

“Ready Check is a twice-weekly column focusing on successful raiding for the serious raider. Hardcore or casual, ZA or Sunwell Plateau, everyone can get in on the action and wonder where all the good resto shamans have gone. Seriously. We need you. Many of us involved in raiding, endgame or otherwise, have been in a situation where a member of our raid force has quit, or we’ve decided to get a specific niche spec on board. Suddenly, a vacancy’s open — but how do you fill it. This article talks about the different approaches to endgame recruiting and other ways you can plan for contingencies such as your only enhancement shaman suddenly getting a girlfriend. This is from a guild’s point of view, but for those interested in getting into raiding, this might give you some idea of the challenges you might face. Why does this relate to endgame specifically. A lot of guilds recruit at various stages in their lifecycles, but the requirements for endgame are somewhat harsher; not only do you want someone who will perhaps fit in on a personal level, but more importantly you need someone reliable who will do their job, and come equipped to do it from day one. In general, although we’ll get to this a bit later, you don’t recruit someone in level 65 greens who’s never been beyond a 5-man straight into a Sunwell guild. But what are the options when it comes to finding more suitable players. Recruit on Par The first option is to search for recruits who can literally jump right into your raids, i.e. their gear level matches your average gear level. Some classes and roles have a bit more flexibility with this, but a good example is our recent acquisition of a protection paladin with full tier 6 who spent his first raid with us in Sunwell.

Had we recruited any lower down the gear ladder, we would have run into serious survivability and threat issues due to the lack of gear, and his experience raiding the same content as us certainly came in useful too. Of course, this can seem like a dream situation, and it can also be fairly rare. wow gold Sitting around waiting for that perfect recruit to come along might mean you wait forever, passing up several people who could have been nearly as good. There’s also all the awkward questions about exactly why someone at the same level of raiding as you is leaving their guild; we’ve all seen enough loot sponges and sub-par players to realise that a ‘perfect’ applicant could be one of them. world of warcraft gold A common way to get these applicants is to recruit cross-server, too, which means the player is usually an unknown (and might not like your guild, or your server, or your auction house…). wow gold We’ve found word of mouth amongst our good cross-server recruits has brought more, recruiting several people from the same disbanded guilds. Corss-server recruitment can be achieved by a number of channels; the official guild recruitment forum is a surprisingly productive place to advertise, or you could try mmo-champion, worldofraids, WoW Insider or even craigslist. wow gold Poaching players by posting on realm forums (official or unofficial) might get you a bad rep, or it might get you results. Be honest about your progress and aims, provide a link to your guild website and make sure there are plenty of people able to answer recruits’ questions; wow gold kaufen a level 1 in Teldrassil whispering you about DKP might be your new main tank. ” . Zul’Aman Clarification

April 15th, 2008

“I”ve been following a lot of the reactions on the WoW forums as well as the fansite forums to our announcement of Zul”Aman. I”ve noticed that there’’s a little bit of confusion as to some comments that were made in various articles that said that (I am paraphrasing here) “”Zul”Aman will be more casual than Karazhan.”"” Of course, what most of us in the WoW community have come to realize over the past few years is that the term “”casual”" means different things to different people. In fact, I am at the point where I try to avoid using the term at all. I”ve come to discover that most players consider themselves “”Casual”" when it supports their argument and likewise, they think of themselves as “”hardcore”" when convenient. We have the largest Casual Hardcore (or Hardcore Casual) community of any MMO out there! All joking aside, the clarification is this: –Zul”Aman will be a 10-person raid zone –Zul”Aman will be on a quicker reset than 7 days (some might call this “”casual”") –Zul”Aman will be MORE difficult than Karazhan and drop better loot (some might call this hardcore) –Zul”Aman will feature 6 bosses and it’’s our goal that you can kill them all in one night — perhaps 2-3 hour clear times (some might call this casual) –Zul”Aman will not have a key requirement. Nor will it have an attunement quest\ (some might call this casual) –Zul”Aman will have a VERY challenging timed quest for those who choose to participate in it. This *will be* hardcore and will be very rewarding. Players do not have to engage in the timed run (very similar to the Baron run in Stratholme) –We”re tuning the first boss in Zul”Aman to require less raid coordination than some other raid bosses. He will still hit very hard so you”ll need to be geared properly but it won”t take 15 minutes to explain the fight.

It will be a simple yet challenging fight. The other boss fights get more complex and challenging from there. If players want a basis of comparison, imagine the tuning of ZA started around Nightbane/Prince difficulty and ramped up from there. ZA is a very cool looking zone. It will feature brand new troll models — Forest Trolls. wow geld They are very impressive looking. There will also be a large amount of brand new item art in the zone. We”ll get screenshots of this out soon. wow gold I know this question is going to come up so I”ll answer it now — Yes, you can totally skip Karazhan if you”re an amazingly elite guild who doesn”t have time to key up for KZ yet can face the challenges of ZA without gearing up in KZ. Have fun storming the castle. ” “Location The Wailing Caverns (WC) are located in the center of the Barrens, just south of the Crossroads Horde town along the coast. It is a medium sized instance for both Alliance and Horde players, however it is more easily accessible to Horde players. Time The Wailing Caverns take approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on party level and skill. Levels The Wailing Caverns are meant for characters level 15-20ish. wow powerleveling You can continue to make loot and experience runs through WC to about level 24, but after that the experience gains are not worth the effort. The MOBs in Wailing Caverns range from 15 elite to 20 elite. The quest MOBs are up to 22 elite. Map We have put together a map that shows the layout of the Wailing Caverns and marks the location of all the key named MOBs and the key locations. . Tactics Since it a fairly long Instance to run through, and there are various quests and special mobs to kill, it is obvious that there are certain tactics that need to be followed in order to succeed in the Wailing Caverns. The MOBs in WC range from 15-20 elite and are generally found in groups of 3, with the occasional group of 3 or 4.

wow gold verkaufen Some of the enemies (the Druids mostly) will flee when brought low enough, which can be deadly to a group if there is another enemy group nearby. Being a level 15-20 instance, with the MOBs being 15-20 elite you will HAVE to work together as a team, especially if you are at the low end of the level scale. Most players in the correct level range will not be able to handle an elite MOB of their level or higher on their own. The best tactic to deal with this is to designate a single player to pull MOBs and be careful to not pull anything other than what is planned. lotro gold If you are the puller always plan the pull carefully. This means, watching for patrols, movement of MOBs, and party health and mana. If you do these things even a party of all 15-18 characters stands an excellent chance at finishing the instance. There are several key tactical issues to keep in mind for this specific instance.RELATED LINKS:http://annasu.blog4.petitmall.jp/

Hunter of Trouble - Gnomes Gone Wild!

April 15th, 2008

“I have not finished all the quests in Nagrand, but I was getting itchy feet to see what was in the next zone, so off I went to Blade’s Edge Mountains. I think I have died in this zone more than any other. The first flight point for the Alliance is located here is in Sylvanaar. The vendors in this town are very limited. I found a weaponsmith and both a tradesman and general goods vendor, but that was it. At least there is an innkeeper and mailbox here. While working on a called “”The Den Mother”" (sound familiar. ) I came across World of Warcraft’s interpretation of R2D2 only this guy was called R3DO. When I spoke to him he yelled at me, “”WARNING! WARNING! AWAY HOSTILE BEINGS! DO NOT HEAD UP THE RIDGE TO TOSHLEY’S STATION!”" Naturally I went up the hill. This was one of those times when I wished I was a Rogue, but I took a deep breath and up I went. The path was littered with pieces and parts of what looked to be the remains of some of R3DO’s relatives. Cresting the hill I saw what can only be described as Gnomes gone wild. It looked like they had taken every piece of metal they could get their hands on and fashioned it into all kinds of contraptions. Gnomes were running everywhere! Sparks were flying from one gnome grinding away on some kind of unexplainable machine. I had only been there a short time when chaos erupted, which should not have surprised me as these were, after all, Gnomes. Bugs began swarming the town, Gnomes were running everywhere shouting! Why me. guild wars gold I’m on fire I’m on fire again! Pour it on em This is going to hurt in the morning. Robots with laser guns blasting, gnomes with death rays were running everywhere as they squelched out the invasion of bugs.

It was pure bedlam and I loved every minute of it. After it had calmed down a bit I took a look around for some quest givers. wow powerleveling I had the pleasure of meeting Tally Zapnabber who asked me very kindly if I would talk to his Clone… err… twin Rally to take a test flight. I winced when I read the description of the quest. From here I will let the pictures tell the story. The Fishing report I have not found anywhere to fish here in Blade’s Edge yet. billig wow gold I did work on my fishing skill a bit and did some spot fishing in Terrokar Forest and Nagrand but did not catch anything to write about. Still no luck in finding pure pools either. I did however investigate a rumor I have been hearing about regarding a non-combat pet called Mr. wow Pinchy. Using Mr. Pinchy triggers the spell cast “”Make a Wish”". lotro gold Alchemy/Herbalism I finally reached level 65 and 350-skill in Alchemy. I went to Honor Hold thinking I could finally specialize into one of the three lines of Alchemy - Flasks, Potions or Elixirs - but the icon above the Alchemist’s head was still grey to me.RELATED LINKS:http://wowgamezone.unblog.fr/

The Fishing Report

April 15th, 2008

” The fishing skill is now at 325 and I still have to use the plus 75 baubles to guarantee a successful catch at my two favorite fishing holes. The first being a small pond just outside the east gate of lower Shattrath where you can catch: • Golden Darter • Barbed gill trout • Spotted Feltail The next being the small lake just outside the northeastern corner of Telaar where I caught: • Icefin Bluefish • Barbed gill trout • Figluster’s Mudfish I have been fishing both night and day; so far have not caught anything during the night that was any different than day fishing. Herbs in this area: • Dreaming Glory • Felweed I also found a new plant in Zangarmarsh as I was riding around collecting herbs called a Flamecap (Use: Chance to strike a ranged or melee target for 40 fire damage. Also increases fire spell damage by up to 80. Lasts 1 minute). Cooking Recipes (Bought from Uriku cooking supplier in Telaar) • Poached Bluefish 320 skill 3 gold • Grilled Mudfish skill 320 3 gold • Roasted Clefthoof skill 325 3gold Talent Tree Preview This week we continue with the final installment from Myth (Mythril) of the Archimonde server who writes the technical stuff for me. Today he will introduce you to the Marksmanship tree with part three of his three part series focusing exclusively on the Hunter Talents. Tier 1 Improved Concussion Shot- This talent is mostly for PvPers. Sure it has some uses in PvE, but it’s main use is in keeping someone from running off or getting to you. I wouldn’t put points in it for leveling unless you planned on a lot of PvP along the way. Lethal Shots- Every template out there should have 5/5 in this talent. Even if you are using a BM/survival template. Five points should spent here. The critical strikes will also help your pet damage with Kill Command. Tier 2 Improved Hunter’s Mark- This talent is filler for the most part.

If you’re a PvPer you probably have 10 points in Tier 1 marksman and don’t need to put any in tier 2. This is probably something that one hunterin a PvE raid should have maxed since the mark now adds the power to melee. Efficiency- I’ve never been that fond of Efficiency and have in the past just used it for filler points as needed. i still think its usefulness remains in doubt. Basically it’s going to give you 10% more mana by reducing the mana cost. guild wars gold To me you only see this benefit if you blow your mana pool all the way to zero a lot. And even then, it will probably only make a difference of two shots. Some people always max it. wow powerleveling However I never saw the logic in it. I might try this in combination with Combat Experience and Careful Aim to see how well it does in raids. Tier 3 Go for the Throat- Juicy talent! Sounds innocuous at first, but this is a talent that can really pay off for a marksman hunter. A BM hunter who dabbles in marksmanship only needs this if they plan on using Claw a lot, since they probably already have Bestial Discipline. billig wow gold If you are a survival hunter or marksman hunter you need two points here in my opinion. One of those “”must haves”". Improved Arcane Shot- People are on either side of the fence for this one. Ultimately, is one second worth five points. wow Before BC, the answer was definitely no. Mainly because arcane shot stunk at damage. Now arcane shot is a prominent shot in both PvP and PvE. lotro gold I’ve had it and not had it. I think once we get steady shot, the one second difference will be immaterial.

It’s kind of handy to have pre-BC but I’d drop it once I got steady shot. Aimed Shot- Pre-BC talents this was a must-have. Now, if you’re primarily Beast or survival, I’d take it just to get to mortal shots.RELATED LINKS:http://game.blogs.courrierinternational.com/

Have I got the right profs?

March 31st, 2008

“I got my first char (lvl 58 dwarf hunter) with 250 tailoring and 300 skinning. (please note it is my FIRST char and didn’t know what to do) and Im thinking about dropping tailoring, maybe skinning, because it’s simply of no use (I originally took it to make my own bags). I was thinking about getting JC to make my own gems or engineering (for the helicopter mounts, they rock). But for both I’d have to drop skinning for mining, which im not sure of because my rugged hide goes for roughly 8-10g a stack. I also dont have any money to spend because I’ve gotta spend 600g for my mount (riding skill, right. ) and currently only have 340g… So yea, what are good profs for a hunter and what is an enjoyable thing to do/make. Don’t drop your gathering profs and pick up crafting ones on your first toon. wow honor Because, as you stated, you need the money for other things. Dropping tailoring, however, I would recommend. Get rid of it and pick up mining or herbalism. At this point, focus on the things that will make you money. Once this toon is lvl 70 and can pretty much make gold at will with high level gathering, you can use that gold to fund your next toon in something like JC or engineering. But killing beasts is where you get the skins, so you are already tracking them, no. wow profession leveling You can only track one thing at a time anyway, which is why you don’t mix herbalism and mining. Skinning, however, is always easy since you don’t need to track the hairy critters, they’re all over the place.” “Yellowtail and zesty clam meat (from caught clams, no turtle killing needed) can be caught off the pier at Steamwheedle.

Yellowtail is the primary drop off this pier. You will also catch Stonescale Eels here in modest amounts. If at 225, you will need shiny baubles or some other combination of fishing buffs to get to up 300 to fish here reliably. Also, bring them with you since no one in the village sells any fishing gear at all. Also, at Steamwheedle, you will catch some amount of Glossy Mightfish. wow gold To avoid confusion, these are *not* the Mightfish you need for the Mightfish Steak recipe. The recipe for Glossy Mightfish is crap, only offering only a well-fed buff with no enhancement in health restored over the raw. The small numbers of Summer Bass you will catch here are the same way, with the recipe only offering a spirit buff but no health enhancement. That’s correct, although it is worth mentioning that sagefish are a school-only fish. That being said, finding schools of them in the river south and southeast of TM is very easy and you can catch 40-50 of them in no time at all. Finish a school off and look left and right and you should see another one not too far away. Lots of Mithril-headed trout can be caught in shimmering flats in the small pond at the base of the crater northish of the raceway (just stand in pond and you will not aggro the basilisks but you will have to fight a roaming vulture once every 10min or so). wow lvl service Not to be confused with the pond south of the raceway where you will have to fight many a basilisk, including gazers, to fish in. They can also be caught in the centaur cave in the centaur camp just north of Freewind Post.” .RELATED LINKS:

Alliance quest guide:fishing

March 31st, 2008

“Quest: Fishing Requirements: Level 35, 225 Fishing. You need to go and find Nat Pagle in Dustwallow Marsh. He is standing on a small island to the West of Theramore (58,60). He’ll ask you to catch four rare fishes for him. This quest is actually really easy and the only hard part is the amount of travelling involved. The fish you need to catch are: Feralas Ahi - West from Camp Mojache. Fish the Verdantis River where the small bridge is by the Ogres, you’ll soon catch one. Sar’theris Striker - South or North or Shadowprey Village. Make sure the area comes up as Sar’theris Strand. Savage Coast Blue Saffin - Just outside Grom’gol Base Camp. Make sure the area comes up as Savage Coast. wow honor Misty Reed Mahi Mahi - Directly East from Stonnard. Just avoid the Murlocs. You should catch these fish within 5 to 10 casts at each location. So it wont take long. I haven’t done this quest on my Alliance character, so I’m not sure of the best order in which to do them. wow profession leveling Now go back to Nat and get your Artisan Fishing. Go to Steamwheedle port and speak to Gikkix, You’ll want to buy the following two recipes: Spotted Yellowtail and Poached Sunscale Salmon. Either fish for Spotted Yellowtails at Steamwheedle Port or go to Raventusk Village (well not to it, just a little North of it) for the slightly better drop rate. You’ll need about 30 to get your cooking from 225 to 250. Now go to Bloodvenom Falls in Felwood and fish for Sunscale Salmon. wow gold You’ll need about 30 to get your cooking from 250 to 275. No go and speak to Vivianna in The Feathermoon Stronghold and buy the recipe for Mightfish Steak.

Whilst your there buy about 40 Hot Spices and 40 Soothing Spices as your going to be making the food that you will want as a level 60 (without going into instances that is). It gives a +10 stamina buff for 15mins which is always helpful. Now go to Scalebeard’s Cave in Azshara (its one of the islands to the East) and fish for Mightfish. wow lvl service You’ll need about 30 to get your cooking from 275 to 300. You may need to bring some lures with you at this point, as your cooking will level up faster than your fishing and Azshara is a 250+ fishing zone. Once your cooking is a 300, keep fishing till you’ve maxed out that too. It will take 7 to 10 catches to get one skill up at this point, so take your time. “RELATED LINKS:

“horde:Quest: Fishing

March 31st, 2008

“Requirements: Level 35, 225 Fishing. You need to go and find Nat Pagle in Dustwallow Marsh. He is standing on a small island to the West of Theramore (58,60). He’ll ask you to catch four rare fishes for him. This quest is actually really easy and the only hard part is the amount of travelling involved. The fish you need to catch are: Feralas Ahi - If you ride out West from Camp Mojache and fish the Verdantis River where the small bridge is by the Ogres, you’ll soon catch one. Sar’theris Striker - Ride a little South out of Shadowprey Village and your there. The best order I’ve found to do this quest in is; (assuming you don’t already have all the flightpaths) From Dustwallow, ride to the Great Lift and then head West through Thousand Needles to Camp Mojache in Feralas - From Feralas, ride North West into Desolace and onto Shadowprey Village - From Desolace, fly to Thunderbluff - Fly to XR - Fly to Orgrimmar - Get Zeppelin to Grom’Gol Base Camp - Ride North to Duskwood - Ride East to Deadwind Pass - Ride through Deadwind Pass to Swamp of Sorrows. wow profession leveling Now go back to Nat and get your Artisan Fishing. Ok, so your now at level 225 in both cooking and fishing and you’ve done your Artisan quests. Time for the home stretch.
